Salmonman Gravlax is cured for 48 hours plus and then seasoned with pepper, dehydrated organic limes, dill and juniper berries. It is then hand sliced to give broader slices.
A refreshing and delicate flavoured salmon. Serve with gherkins, sour cream lime or lemon juice, lovely fresh bread and salad
Literally meaning "Buried Salmon", in Norway and indeed throughout Scandanavia, the salmon catch would be brought to shore and buried on the beach. The mix of salt wash from the ocean and permafrost would ensure the salmon was preserved allowing it to be consumed long after it was brought in.
